Review :

LEDS: *THIS SET OF LIGHTS in particular, is the best set I have had thus far because of the amount of LEDs in the light strip compared to others. See photo number 1 that I uploaded. THE TOP set of lights in photo #1 is THIS VERY SET OF LIGHTS. The bottom light strip is another from a previous purchase (with the most common amount of LEDs on Amazon). You can see the difference I am sure!

CONNECTION: You really need to be careful of the little prongs that connect the light adapter and receiver to the light strip itself, as well as extra light strips you may want to connect to these. They are very fragile, easily bendable and can snap and break on you very simply... which puts you out of luck for using your lights at all! Replacements can be ordered but, it just sucks to have to go through! I would recommend securing your connection spots with something extra. I used Gorilla Tape. worked well. Just to keep the prongs in place, straight and secure.

**IF you have the connection backwards, your lights either will not work or they will only display one or two colors. What you want to be sure of is line up the arrows on both sides you are connecting. The arrow is small and barely visible... look for it and make sure the two arrows point towards each other and meet together and your connection is as it should be.

POWER: The power cord on the adapter is pretty long, perfect length for what I needed them for. The adapter has a TWO prong electrical plug, not 3. So if you are in an older house with older outlets like we are - you don't have to get a converter. If you want to add more strips of lights with this power source the lights came with you can, but in the product description for these lights it does recommend connecting only ONE additional set... so a maximum of two total. I have three on it right now and it works fine but do so at your own risk.

REMOTE: Not much to say about the remote control, it works. Ha! And gives you plenty of options as far as color choices and "blinking" patterns but I do find all of the patterns to give me a headache like I am at a CLUB. There are 44 buttons total. I still have not figured out how to preset the DIY buttons on the remote, but I also haven't looked into it yet either so I will update you when I figure it out. Also, the WHITE little box that comes in your light kit is the receiver. You have to point the remote at that area of your lights or it might not work. If you click power and your lights don't come on they aren't broken, just be sure you are aiming and the receiver and it is visible to the remote.

APPLICATION:

The backside of this light strip kit has 3M adhesive all the way from start to finish. The adhesive applies very easily to all sorts of surfaces. I have personally used these lights on glass, metal, and exterior wood with exterior paint (my house.) When used inside the house, my son has made several attempts to peel the lights off of whatever I had attached them to at the time - being that he is 2 years old and constantly very destructive, but quickly gave up because it was difficult. So the bonding is great on almost any surface I have tried so far. IF you need anything additional to secure the light strip along with the 3M it comes with, I would recommend some sort of clip/fastener like this (only if you are attaching to wood) Accessbuy 100pcs White RG6 Cable Clip with Steel Nail, 18mm you just want to be sure that the width of the fasteners you order are at least 10mm or larger so your light strip fits in them nicely. If you are applying on a surface such as glass, go ahead and clean it up first with Windex... this will really make a difference!

**I would recommend keeping the back side of the 3M tape and rolling it back onto your plastic wheel that your lights came on when your lights are in use - so if you go to move them elsewhere or take them down you can just reapply that backing to the lights so that you aren't wrapping the lights together on top of 3M getting the lights covered with sticky crap. It makes a big difference if you relocate them!

SAFETY: Although the lights on the strip itself are waterproof and safe for outdoors, nowhere does it say that the power adapter, or other components of this kit are waterproof so if you are using them outside I would take the extra precaution and make sure that all cables, cords and components of this light kit are protected from rain, snow, etc. You can use a plastic to wrap around them or whatever you wish. Something to think about!

That was my review i hope you liked it .
