Get even review

Hello guys today we have a review for Get Even (new game by bandai namco)

Some information :

ABOUT THIS GAME

Black - an ice-cold mercenary and hired gun - awakes in a mysterious old asylum with no memory of his past. Under the guidance of his anonymous captor, ‘Red’, Black embarks on a form of treatment, facilitated by a unique technology - a headset that allows the user to relive their memories and experience them again in the present.

And so Black tries to remember. With the help of the ‘Pandora’ headset, he travels into the depths of his own mind to explore the truth behind the only thing he can remember: the rescue attempt of a teenage girl with a bomb strapped to her chest.

My review :

It was an extraordinary gaming experience. Maybe the most unique one in my gaming history, and I am playing video games for 17 years already.

It is very hard to describe Get Even. I would say it is somewhere between thriller, stealth, FPS and psychological game. The combination is perfect thought, especially when you add well-written story and one of the best in-game music I have ever heard. And by in-game music I mean both soundtrack and narration with acting. In this regard, this game is as good as Bioshock Infinite, which for me is on the top. Get Even is not a shooter game, as some of you may think. It is built around exploration with shooting, criminal and stealth elements, and it is done great. The story is fluid and develops very quickly. In the end I caught myself playing like 5 or 6 hours straight just to see the ending... and it was suprising (in the positive way)! As I have also said earlier, the music is perfect. It fits great into every scene making you sad, scared or even strangely happy on some point. It also develops with the story.

The story itself is about kidnapping and before playing Get Even it’s really all you need to know. The length of the game is about 12-15 hours, depending on your playstyle. Judge it by yourself. I wanted to collect every evidence, so it took me over 17 hours totally. For this price (29.99 $ while writing this review) I would say it’s fair.

To make a final conclusion… If you love to discover new things about video games and you are into exploration games with some unique elements and strong psychological set-up, then this game is definitely for you. Usually I am not writing reviews in English, but this game deserve to reach many players. Try it and you won’t regret it. 9-/10 PS: I have heard about optimization issues. Had almost no problems with GTX970 on highest settings.
