My Review : I wanted a wheel and pedals for various racing games but primarily for Need for speed which I've been playing a lot of lately, and for euro track simulator (by the way this is a great game and with this recing weel makes it better ) I have used many racing wheels and i think for that money is the best . If you have to buy a beginners racing wheel it is the best option.

I'm happy with it - the wheel is nice to hold with the red rubberised side grips providing plenty of grip, and the return spring is just right. Steering action is smooth and precise, as are the pedals (although their base could do with being a little heavier, and/or the fold-out panel for your feet to rest on which holds it in place being longer - I have size 12 feet, and to have my heel on that baseplate requires my foot to be bent back too far to be comfortable when not pressing the pedal. Those with smaller feet might not find this, though!)

Plenty of buttons - d-pad which I use for looking around the cockpit, ABXY buttons on the right, LB/LT and RB/RT buttons where your thumbs fall, L and R buttons on the rear of the wheel, paddles, and a gear shifter. However, it's not quite as many as it may first seem - some are doubled up, for instance the left and right paddles are the same as LT and RT, and the gear lever up/down is the same as X and Y.

I was a bit worried if the suction cups would be enough - I ideally wanted clamps. However, having played for several hours, I've found the suction cups hold it to my desk quite effectively - although I sometimes use a pair of mini F-clamps to clamp it down more securely. I've also managed to play with it on my lap reasonably easily.

Setup was a breeze - I've been playing ETS2 on Linux, and I just plugged it in, configured it in the game settings and was away - no need to install drivers or anything like that.

If you want a top-of-the-range steering wheel with force feedback etc look elsewhere, e.g. a Logitech G27, but if you just want a decent enough quality effective wheel and pedals at a sensible price, I'd certainly recommend this. Score : 5/5
