Black Clover quartet knights game review !

Hello guys today we have a review about black clover quartet knights from bandai namco !

Let's start with some information about this game :

ABOUT THIS GAME

In this magic battle

action game, take part in 4-on-4 team battles and cast an array of magic spells to defeat the opposing team. You can assume one of four roles: Fighter, Healer, Support, Ranged. Use your role and spells to the best possible effect, and cooperate with your teammates to win the battle!

The protagonist, Asta, is the only boy unable to use magic in a world where magic is everything. Despite this affliction, Asta manages to overcome all sorts of hurdles with the help of his friends, and persists in his goal of becoming the Wizard King. This game also includes an original story not depicted in the currently airing Black Clover anime series. Yami Sukehiro, the captain of Asta's knight order, the Black Bulls, suddenly grows younger, just as a mysterious mage launches an attack on the Clover Kingdom. Join Asta and his friends as they embark on a new adventure of trials and tribulations.

My review :

My original thoughts was that the game looks clunky to play. Well, it does. It's kind of hard to justify the game at its full price, due to its clunkiness. I would expect more quality for this price. However, it is still a fun game to play.

Another concern is that you will most likely be buying this game to play PvP. Well, the playerbase is pretty low. Which makes sense, since it's pretty expensive and it wasn't advertised for PC. After about 2 minutes of queueing for Ranked Matches, whatever slot that is not filled by humans will be automaticly filled with AIs. Sadly, since the playerbase is so low, if you are new to the game, you might end up queueing into very high rank players. The story that the game covers was nothing special. The introduction to Black Clover was pretty lackluster, but once the alternative path begins, it gets a little bit interesting. In my opinion, it could have been structured better, especially the beginning. There is also Challenges, which are more like character tutorials that has a mini story in it if you do them in order.

Onto customization: Costume wise, there is only recolors, outside of a few character specific DLCs. There is a ton of Voice Lines(45 per character), but you will probably never use them. Each character has 3 different type of decks(builds), and each deck enhance your character differently. Additonally, you can add up to 4 cards to enhance certain things. Hidden behind the Online Menu are Films(Sprays, which you can only equip 1 of at a time) and Titles. You can unlock everything in the game fairly easily. The story and challenges gives a good amount of currency, each Ranked Match gives over 1000 currency and you will also obtain random cards and currency on level ups. Overall, for the full price, Black Clover Quartet Knights is not really worth it. Its clunkiness and lack of playerbase are its downsides. I am still recommending the game, despite everything I've said, because it is still a fun game to play. I know it's hard to justify buying it at full price, but do consider the game once a sale comes up.

Score:7/10
